Staying in Kachiguda puts you within easy reach of Hyderabad's old city. Salar Jung Museum is about 3 km away and Charminar about 5 km, close enough to see the best of it in a single unhurried day.
Morning: Salar Jung Museum
Start early at the Salar Jung Museum on the banks of the Musi. It's one of India's best-known museums, built around one family's vast collection of art, textiles, clocks and sculpture. Give it at least two to three hours.
TipMuseums and monuments have weekly closing days and changing ticket rules. Check the official timings the evening before you go.
Afternoon: Charminar and Laad Bazaar
From the museum it's a short ride to Charminar, the four-minaret landmark at the heart of the old city. Walk around it, then wander into Laad Bazaar next door, famous for its lacquer bangles.
Late Afternoon: Chowmahalla Palace
A few minutes from Charminar, Chowmahalla Palace was the seat of the Nizams. Its courtyards and halls are a calm change after the bazaar crowds.
Evening: Back for Dinner
Head back to Kachiguda and finish the day at Panchratan Veg Restaurant downstairs. North Indian curries and fresh breads, and your room is just a lift ride away.
- Salar Jung Museum ≈ 3 km
- Charminar ≈ 5 km
- Laad Bazaar and Chowmahalla Palace are next to Charminar
